I'll admit, I'm new to this blogging thing and never saw myself as a 'blogger.' I've never been the type of person to keep a journal and don't consider myself a writer by any means. But here I am...writing a blog. I thought it was important to share my story as I start on a new journey. I’ve been working on a project that's very important to me. I'm starting my own business designing atheisure wear for women, in particular pregnant and nursing women!
"The industry is lacking, so I decided to create my own line."
🤱As a woman who was pregnant and then a nursing mom, I had trouble finding clothes that I could wear to workout in and then go about the rest of my day in. I found I had to compromise my style for comfort or quality. Why couldn't I find athleisure wear that offered all 3? The industry is lacking, so I decided to create my own line.
"Every woman, mom or not, deserves to feel beautiful and confident in her body and her clothes, so I am creating beautiful, functional athleisure wear for them."
I'm designing atheisure wear to take you from your workout, to nursing your baby, to errands and maybe even to date night with your partner, all without looking like a sweaty, pile of pajamas! Pregnant and nursing women want to feel attractive too. Actually...probably even more so!
I remember feeling like I lost myself. Don't get me wrong, being pregnant was an amazing experience and I wouldn't change any part of it. It's all part of the journey, but with any rainbow you have rain. For how happy being pregnant made me, it also made me scared, tired, and confused. My body was basically rented out for nine months and then used for food for the next 11 while it slowly recovered from childbirth. So, for almost 2 years, none of my usual clothes fit, my body didn’t look like myself and on top of that, I went from being ‘alone’ to being a mother! Not only was this physically demanding but mentally I just wanted some sort of break. Not from being a mom - that was amazing and felt so natural -but a break from not feeling like myself. I just wanted to physically feel like myself and have my baby too, is that too much to ask? Haha! Oh pregnancy, you crazy thing you. Back to the point, I just wanted to feel beautiful and comfortable in my body and when I put on an outfit that made me feel good my whole day just got a little bit better. I had more energy to get things done and to workout. I felt like I wanted to put more time into taking care of myself, so I could be better rested and energized to take care of my family. Every woman, mom or not, deserves to feel beautiful and confident in her body and her clothes, so I am creating beautiful, functional athleisure wear for them.

Through this blog, I'll be taking you on my journey from yogi mama to designer. I'll share my ideas, inspiration, stories and journey with you as I go through this process of starting my own business and growing my line. I'm so excited to start this project and I can’t wait to see my designs come to life! Thanks for reading and being a part of my journey so far.
